I have been learning Korean language since Apr 2006. I have my lesson on every Sunday afternoon. It is a 2 hours lesson with just one classmate. The lesson is a informal one and we have it at Delifrance restaurant. The lesson is usually strssless unless we are given dictation test or review exercise.
My Seon Seng Nim is 1 year older than me. He is married with a beautiful"actress" look alike wife and has one cute daughter. Seon Seng Nim and his family came from Seoul, Korea. He has a full time job in Singapore and teaching Korean language is out of friendship to us. Due to his job nature, he needs to travel to Korea, Germany etc quite often. He speaks fluent English and is able to conversant in Mandarin too. I find it quite rare as most Korean only speaks either language.
Through the lesson, all parties share knowledge of Korea/Singapore culture, lifestyle, place of interest etc.
